Congratulations Rose

Maar weer eens een kaartje gemaakt. Best een leukerdje toch? Ja hoor, het papier is weer eens van de Action.
Maar ook de studs op het papier zijn van de Action en werken goed met de Hot Fix.
Action verkoopt zelf een glitter applicator zoals ze het noemen. Geen idee hoe die werkt maar is wel een stuk goedkoper dan de Hotfix.
Ik heb sinds kort een Creative with Action groep op Facebook aangemaakt dus deze kaart komt daar uiteraard ook op.

De roos komt van het internet en is op fotopapier afgedrukt.
De stempel die lijkt op een poststempel komt van Best Friends en de Congratulations is van Studio Light.

De achterkant vrij gelaten om te beschrijven.

Deze studs waren 1,99 voor 288 stuks en werken goed op papier.

Patchwork

Bij de Dutch Card Lovers, die overigens al 4 jaar bestaan, is de challenge dit keer een kaart met Patchwork maken. Ik ben gek op Patchwork!

Nou vond ik in mijn verzameling nog dit romantische papier dat me wel geschikt leek voor een kaart voor mijn nichtje en haar partner die net de sleutel van hun eerste eigen huis hebben gekregen.

Weer eens de naaimachine ter hand genomen. Lang geleden hoor dat ik nog op papier genaaid heb maar dat hoort toch echt bij Patchwork vond ik.

At the Dutch Card Lovers the theme of the challenge is Patchwork this time. I love Patchwork and I made this card for my niece and het partner who just got the key to their new house.

It has been a while since I used the sewing machine for my cards but I thought it couldn't be left out with this theme.

Father's day

De kaart met het vliegtuig is voor mijn stiefvader die gek is op vliegtuigen. Mijn vader is gek op boten maar daar kon ik helaas geen embellishments van vinden.

Normaal maak ik voor mijn vader geen kaart omdat hij altijd op vakantie is met de boot met vaderdag maar dit keer hebben hij en zijn vrouw onderweg een ongeluk gehad en zit de boot in de kreukels. De hele stuurhut is er aan.
Gelukkig kwamen hij en zijn vrouw met de schrik en wat schrammen vrij. De ambulance is nog wel even gekomen voor mijn vader omdat hij onder het bloed zat maar gelukkig was het niet al te ernstig en namen ze hem niet mee naar het ziekenhuis.
Hij kon dus bij zijn boot blijven en is ondertussen thuis. Niet helemaal zoals ze de vakantie gepland hadden.
Hopelijk vinden mijn vader en stiefvader de kaarten leuk.

The card with the plane is for my stephdad who loves planes. My father loves boats but unfortunately I couldn't find a boat embellishment. Normally I don't make a card for him as he is never at home on father's day but vacationing with the boat. Unfortunately he and his wife had an accident and the boat is severely damaged. Luckily they came away with a big scare and some scratches. A police officer let an ambulance come as my father was covered with blood but it wasn't so bad and he didn't have to go to the hospital with them and could stay with the boat.
Now they are at home. Not really the vacation they planned. Hopefully my father and my stephfather appreciates their cards.

Bingo en Bloemen

Met het prachtige papier van een vintage blok van de Action en dat lieve kattenplaatje dat ik allang geleden uitknipte en zo graag nog eens wilde gebruiken maakte ik deze kaart.

Some vintage paper and this sweet image with a cat that I cut out ages ago and always wanted to use for something I made this card.

Ik maakte deze kaart met in het achterhoofd de Bingo van Hobby Vision Design Team (bedel-knopen-lint/kant) en de Bloemenuitdaging van de Dutch Card Lovers.

Update 28 april 2013: Ik sta in de top 3 van de Dutch Card Lovers! De ingenieuze kaart van Crejabeja heeft terecht gewonnen.

I made my first christmascard for this year

Normally I am not this quick with making chritmascards and never get in the mood for christmas so early. Actually I am always to late to make enough cards and end up buying most of them.

At Pinterest I see a lot of photos in christmas style already that somehow I got in the mood for making christmascards.

I started out with the one you see above this text and as you can see down below I loved it and made 4 more in the same style.

I enter with this card at the Papercraft Star Challenge #115. Anything goes.

Normaal maak ik geen kerstkaarten zo vroeg in het jaar hoewel ik het me wel vaak voorneem. Ik ben namelijk altijd te laat om er nog veel te maken. Ik denk dat het door Pinterest komt waar ik al zoveel kerstfoto´s zag dat ik nu al in de sfeer ben en kaarten ben gaan maken.

Het begon met degene hierboven en die vond ik zo leuk dat ik er nog vier in dezelfde stijl heb gemaakt zoals je hieronder ziet.

Little Darlings Collection, Graphics 45

Yesterday, was a great day. Marjanne was in Holland for only one day to see her son graduate. Before she took the Thalys back home (France) in the afternoon we had lunch together.
Ofcourse we couldn't resist the craft store and we both fell in love with this beautiful Graphics 45 paper and both bought the Little Bundle of Joy and the New arrival.
When I came home I saw a garland hanging before one of my neigbours window, they got a son. What a coincidence.
With this beautiful paper it was so easy to make a nice card. Hopefully they like it.

Gisteren was een leuke dag! Marjanne was een dagje in Nederland om haar zoon te zien afstuderen. Voordat ze de volgende dag de Thalys terug naar Boufflers nam hebben we nog samen geluncht in Utrecht. Helaas was onze swapmusketier Sandra er niet bij maar om helemaal uit Friesland te komen voor een uurtje of 2,3 was toch een beetje te gortig.

Toen we voorbij Pippoos kwamen konden we de verleiding uiteraard niet weerstaan en gingen we naar binnen.
We waren allebei weg van de Little Darlings Collection van Graphics 45 en kochten allebei een velletje van Little Bundle of Joy en New Arrival.
Toen ik de straat in reed zag ik bij één van de buren een slinger voor het raam hangen. Hoera een Zoon! Nou, kwam dat even goed uit.
Met dit papier zit een mooie kaart zo in elkaar.

What I like about it is that finally I found a vintage baby image with a baby with coloured skin. One of my friends is about to give birth to a baby with a coloured skin (if not, she is gonna be in big trouble :-)) and I couldn't find a right image to make her a card. So happy to have found this paper!

En wat ik fantastisch aan dit papier vind is dat er ook vintage babyplaatjes op staan van babies met een gekleurd huidje.

Een vriendin van me staat op het punt om een baby met een gekleurd huidje te krijgen (zo niet, dan heeft ze een probleem :-)) en ik kon het juiste plaatje niet vinden. 

Echt blij dat ik dit papier heb gevonden.

Dutch Card Lovers Challenge 137

There are so many challenges on the web and with some I keep thinking I am gonna compete this week for sure. But before I know it, the week is already over and yet again I did not enter the challenge.
You know how it goes?
This week I finally managed to make a card to enter the DCL challenge.
Don't you love this two cute doggies?

Ken je dat? Elke week zie je een challenge van een bepaald blog voorbijkomen en neem je je voor om mee te doen maar elke week weer is die voorbij voordat je er erg in hebt.
Ik heb dat altijd met de DCL challenge.
Maar deze week is het dan zover, ik doe weer eens mee!

Happy Birthday Sandra

 Today is Sandra's birthday and I made her this card. Happy Birthday dear friend.

Sandra is jarig en deze kaart heeft ze ondertussen ontvangen. Gefeliciteerd lieve swapmusketiervriendin.

Card

What can I tell about it? Just another card. One, that I think, came out just fine.

At The Shabby Tea Room this week you need to use, aqua, pink and flowers. They had a gorgeous picture as inspiration.

Tsja, wat kan ik hierover vertellen, het is gewoon weer eens een kaart. Wel een leuke vind ik zelf.

Ik doe met deze kaart ook mee aan de Shabby Tea Room Challenge.

Deze pareltjes zijn trouwens het allergoedkoopste bij Anma Creatief voor zover ik weet. 

Inside  a tag in a little envelope, made with the new die I got from Marjanne as a birthday pressie.

En binnenin een tag in envelopje gemaakt met de stans van Marjanne design, die ik met mijn verjaardag kreeg van Marjanne (niet dezelfde).

Made this one last night with my eye half on the television, half on the card. I think I like this one.

DCL, sketch # 15

My take on DCL's sketch 15. Not as beautiful as I want it to be but time seems to fail me nowadays. You should think now that summer is on it's return I would have to work less but the opposite is true.
Work shouldn't get in the way with playing............................grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...............
