My second box

I think you could call this a gift box. All I have to do now is finding someone to give a gift to.

This is so out of my box and I feel I have to find my style in this one too. It is not as easy as making cards but it is great to find new challenges. Don't you think so?

Get Sketchy challenge #3

This is this weeks price at Get Sketchy. Is it cool or what? Wanna win it? Go to Get Sketchy and join the challenge!

Here is my example:

The best of friends

Not to much scraptime lately. Been busy working. This morning I came back from 2 days in Egypt where we enjoyed ourselves at the Hilton hotel beach...........what a life! Sometimes my job is great!
Still, lying there on the beach, with our feets in the water I was thinking about ............................. scrapping.
Anyway, here is my last card. What do you think? I am so happy with the butterfly punch I bought last week at de Knotsgekke Kaartendagen.

Challenge 2 already at Get Sketchy!

Challenge #1 at Get Sketchy was a big hit. Over a 100 contestants. Isnt't that wonderful, it was only the very first sketch. We will go weekly now.
Here is the new sketch. It's Dora who made it.

And this is my take on it:

We needed to use a Cutting Café stamp as The Cutting Café is our sponsor this week. The winner of this challenge will receive 3 Digital Stamp Sets from The Cutting Cafe!
I love the stamps and I am a big fan of affordable digital stamps.
I used the cupcake and cut out the top of the cupcake of patterned paper. I addes some sprinkles with pink fabric writer from Duncan and addes some glitter to it while it was still wet.

Well girls (and the occasional boy). What are you waiting for? Go sketchy with it!

Just vintage and my first box

Just a vintage card. No challenge, just playing around and doing my own thing. Without being modest I must say I like the outcome.
On the back a little pocket with a tag inside to provide some space to write a message on.
And here you see my first box. I don't know what to think of it. Not to crazy about it but it is my first so that was to be expected.

I used the same papers as on the vintage card from Calambour (http://www.scrapbour.com/).

The shoe

Since I did the Ciao Copic Markers workshop I found out I really like coloring stamps. I didn't like the most regular stamps. I found they were so childish.
A hunt for stamps was started.
I discovered the digistamps. They are not so expensive which is a good thing because most stamps get boring after using them once or twice.
You don't want all your cards to have the same stamp. So I say, Yeah for the digistamps.

I added this real thick glitter to make it look like silver elements on the shoe.
I took almost all my textstamps that were applicable on a birthday card, put them all on a big acrylic bloc and stamped the bottom and inside of the card with it.

Beige paper: K&Company

Bordeaux paper: Crea Motion
Dotted paper: Basic Grey (Figgy Pudding)

Digistamp: Sketching Stamper

Get Sketchy launched.

Finally! Today is the day that Get Sketchy's very first challenge is launched.
What are you waiting for? Go and have a look at the sketch and start scrapping your brains out.

Update 15-8-2009:

Totally forgot to show you my card for the DT at Get Sketchy.

You can win Crop Suey's very first card kit. It is really worth your while.

A quicky

Not to much scrap time as I do have to work a lot these days. Gee, don't you sometimes wish you could stop working and just scrap whole year round? Or would that get boring?
Anyways, made these card quick, quick last night. Not to bad, but not stunning either.
Toodles!

Ciao copic marker

You know I love the ciao copic markers. Yesterday I got some prints (from stamps) I ordered in the mail.
I couldn't wait coloring them.
And while I was taking a picture of the card I made with it someone was watching me closely and I couldn't resist taking his picture too.
He is one of my two cats and his name is Macho but he is a whimsy.
The poor boy is on a diet. Don't make fun of him now!
When a breese is coming up he puts his nose in the air and smells the fresh air. I wanna hug him like crazy when he does that.

Simple card

Just a simple card today. I have been working on the sketch for the first challenge at Get Sketchy this friday which ofcourse I can't show you just yet but after Friday Í can.
It became quite a busy card. After that I felt like making a simple but sweet card.
I think I managed that.
Enjoy your day!

Paris, la tour eiffel.

The plan was to start scrapping when I came home from work this afternoon. Plans don't always work out though.
Today's flight was to Dalaman, Turkey. During the flight I got sick, dizzy and headaches.
Operations in Holland asked or I could fly back or not and I said I did but the captain deccided I couldn't and let me pick up by med's overthere.
Turned out my bloodpressure went over the roof and I was put on a drip that made me feel terribly good, hihi.
To make a long story short, we spent the rest of the day in a hotel in Dalaman and another crew flew our passengers back to Holland.
I slept for hours and I am feeling better now but it has been a long day.
Luckily I made this card yesterday so I can show you something today. I think I am gonna give it to a friend of mine who is crazy about Paris and visits it almost every summer.
You might recognize the background again as cuttlebug embossed.
The inside. Losely translated Zomaar means Just because.

I am in the DT! Get sketchy with it!

I did tell you I applied for being a teammember at Get Sketchy. Guess what? I am in!
I am so excited. Never been in DT before.
The other girls are great and very talented. We already chatted back and forward with one another and they are all great fun.
In today's post the team is being introduced. Go and have a look!

The first challenge will be posted on Friday the 14th. I hope you all will participate.
The sketch is abfab! I promise you.

Kazan's sketch 32

My take on Kazan's sketch # 32.
Day before yesterday (when good ol' Mum was here) I got a present from my mother consisting out of 42 scrappapers. I used two om them.
The grass is piece of a football paper and the daisies are adorable'I think.
The oval behind the Thanks board is a cuttlebug background. I cut the oval with the Coluzzle. I made the pattern come more forward by painting the outcoming parts with green pigment ink.
Strange! But I feel it looks like somebody else's card. It is not really my style. I tried to go outside my own box for once and I think I succeeded. Nice for a change.

Beautiful

This card may look familiar to you. It looks a little bit like the one I made wednesday for the Let's get Shabby contest.
I made it while watching ATWT last night. Don't you love being a woman? We can do that, watch tv and create something at the same time.
With glossy accents I added some raindrops ont the flowers.
Luckily this morning the sun was shining brightly again and light in the shadow was just perfect for making photos.
It is gonna be a long and very hote day here in the Netherlands. I love the sun but I think today might be a little to warm. Still, not complaining! It still is way better than rain and cold.
Enjoy your day!
