Another Angel

Same angel, different card.

Angel

This card is for my spanish teacher who is such a great person. I had to send her something and thought it would be nice to add a card.
Don't you just love the angel?
I added the flowers my mom made me again.

crochet flowers

My mother made me a few flowers and I really love them so I was waiting for an opportunity to use them.
Life has been busy lately and didn't leave me much time to scrap. That's why it has been quiet on my blog.
And now life is calling me again. I really need to iron! Yeach!

Have fun on your birthday

This one looks a little like one of the cards I made monday. I liked it very much so I tried making another color, other papers etc.
What do you think?
Recognize something Martha? Hihi.

Fathers day

I don't like making cards for men cause I am not good at it. Or am I not good at it because I don't like it.................?
Whatever.........I tried making a fathers day card.
I am gonna send it to my stephfather. My own father is cruising around the Netherlands with his boat for a month and doesn't have a forwarding adress obviously.

Do I need to explain that Vaderdag means fathers day. No...............I don't, have I?
Well maybe for the ones that have blond moments as much as I have.

Thanks Martha

Hi there girls, I am exhausted, been painting the livingroom. Actually it is not finished yet so more work for me tomorrow.
I have not been scrapping but there is a card I haven't shown you yet as I made it for Martha and I didn't want her to see it before she recieved it.
Martha is in my top 3 of scrappers. Iralamija is the other one and I haven't decided on number 3 yet, hihi.
Anyway, Martha made me butterflies with her cuttlebug with paper I sent her. She is just to sweet for doing that for me.
I recieved them in my mailbox today and I am happy as a child.
Wish me luck with painting girls, my body is aching allover. Not just to this kind of hard work, lazy as I am.
Oh, if I only was rich and could have a painter do the work for me................*sigh*

It's a cat's life

This cat embellishments I got, along with a lot of other scrap stuff, from my mother and her husband and they were just waiting to be used.
Today was the day. I found great use for them in this green/brown/yellow card.

The weather here in Holland is to die for. I took the pic outside in the garden because the light out there is great when it is sunny.

Well, ladies, I am gonna enjoy my sunny garden now.

Card*a*licious 22

The essentials of this card are used by me before with the Ribbons from the market card but the cardboard in the middle is different.
I like the card myself that much that I wanted to do something like it again.

This time I wanted to enter the competition from Card*a*licious which I just found out about on the Papertrails by a paperlover blog.

You needed to use stars, flowers and some stitches and I think I succeeded in doing right that.

500 posts=Blog Candy

My regulars know I love Iralamija's blog. She inspires me.
Today she has a Blog Candy and although she has so much readers I am gonna give it a try and enter for it.
So here is the link to it:
500 posts=Blog Candy
Go and have a look girls!

And as I don't like a post without a photo I added this golden oldie. This was before I was inspired by others, as Iralamija, to make my cards more shabby but you can already see, I think, I like vintage.
I made this for a card for a friend who was coming home from Trinidad and Tobago. She still has the card standing in one of the cupboards in her living room. I think she likes it :-).

2 sketches 4 you, the second time

I love the 2 sketches 4 you challenges, the girls entering the challenge are so gifted. I often go and have a look at their results.
I only entered the challenge myself once. I didn't like my card that much. I found that by trying to meet the conditions the card has to answer to I somehow lost my own style in the proces.

But I wanted to enter the challenge again so badly that this time I gave it another go telling myself that I should keep my own style in mind.
This is what I made of Kazan's sketch 27

I just like my cards to look old and shabby and I wasn't going to be satisfied until my own style just jumped right off the card.

This time I am more satisfied than last time.

I am very curious what you think about it.

Boy

This card is full of market stuff. I bought the 3 ribbons I used on the saturday market here in my hometown.
The polkadot button, which I just love, I bought on a market in Groningen (big town in the North of Holland) where I happened to be for my work.
The paper is from Basic Grey and is called Oh Baby! Boy.

To spice up the inside a little and have the stitches and ribbon use like they were there on purpose I added the Boy stamp a few time in a line.
The stamp actually says Birthday Boy but I only inked the word Boy.
It is really summer weather outhere in Holland and I love the sun illuminating the card. The pics just turn out so much better.

ribbon from the market

I have this brown/beige ribbon for ages now. Bought it on the market and just loved it and have been waiting for an opportunity to use it.
When I was making this card last night I finally found a way to use it.
Some cuttlebug swirls and butterfly are used in it.
The pompons are also from the market.
This card started out with a piece of fabric I took with me from the store where I am gonna buy a new couch. The brown square in the middle is the fabric. I was just playing around with it a little bit and glued a swirl and a butterfly on it. A card was born :-).

B-day

This card is inspired by a card Iralamija made on mothers day. So I have been snagging :-). Hope she doesn't mind.
Iralamija is one of my favourites amongst the cardscrappers.
Her card (which was much prettier ofcourse) you'll find here.

Shoe bag

As some of you might know I am a stewardess and we change our shoes inside the plane from high heels to flats.
We put our high heels in a shoe bag during the flight. At the end of the flight we change shoes again and put our flat shoes back in the bag.

I made this one. It felt like scrapping with fabrics.

I am curious what you think of it

NIeuwe Woning

Not to much time to scrap but when a dear friend called me to tell she got the house she wanted so badly this inspired me to make this card.

Creamy colors

Creamy colours this time. Beige, white with a little brown. I think the happy birthday embossing is from cuttle bug or another machine like the cuttle bug. Bought it in a scrapstore.

I just love this paper with buttons and added some real look a likes.
Enjoy your weekend!

Only the best for you

I have been to Copenhagen for a day or 5 and it has been kind of quiet here. But hey.......I am back!
Last night I made this two cards. Totally different from one another. I like the round one the best.
This one is not a typical card I make considering the colours aren't really pastel but I was inspired by the scalopped ribbon and that just didn't come in a pastel color. Bought a package with several ribbons for only 99 (euro)cents. I happened to bump into it in a store where you wouldn't expect ribbons.
I bought it in 3 colours.
That just made my day.

Well, that ánd the fact that I won a coupon of 100 euro's for a hairdresser. I look great now ;-).
