Just some more cards.

I am very pleased with these two cards. I just love the paper I used. It is from October afternoon (Blue and white motel).
The buttons and the little clock are from Creamotion (dress it up). I cut off the eye on the back before glueing it to the card.
The ribbon with the lace is from the market.

Ik ben zelf best blij met deze kaarten. Ik vind ze wel gaaf. Vind je het papier ook niet super? Het is van October Afternoon (Blue and white motel).
De knopen en het klokje zijn van Creamotion (dress it up). Ze zijn van plastic dus kon ik de oogjes er makkelijk van af knippen alvorens ze op te plakken.
Gebruikt lint met kant is van de markt.
De afbeeldingen vond ik op het wereldwijde web.

A shabby christmas for let's get shabby.

One of my favourite websites is Let's get Shabby. I just like their style. This time their challenge has to do with christmas. A shabby christmas.

I bought this birdhouse for 59 cents (I know, I am cheap and on top of that I am dutch) and thought it would be the perfect project for the challenge.

Let's get Shabby is één van mijn favoriete weblogs. Ik ben gewoon gek op hun stijl. Deze keer is hun challenge kerstmis georiënteerd. A shabby christmas.

Nou had ik laatst dit vogelhuis voor 59 cent (ja, ik ben goedkoop, ik weet het, ben tenslotte een Hollander) gekocht bij de Action (lang leve de Action!) en ik dacht dat dit het perfecte project voor deze challenge zou zijn.

I found the Santa somewhere on the net and printed it on heavy paper. My regulars know I am crazy about pompoms and this time I used them for a snowy look together with some see throught fabric and tule.

Ik heb de kerstman van het net geplukt en geprint op een Hema correspondentiekaart. Degenen die hier vaak komen weten dat ik gek ben op Pom poms en deze keer zijn ze zelfs nuttig om een beetje sneeuwachtig uiterlijk te creëren. Daarvoor gebruikte ik ook hele dunne stof waar je door heen kan kijken en tule.

Some tags added in different layers of the fabric for a 3D effect and again the stars that I also used on the card in my last post and that came from a christmas garland.

Een paar tags en de ster die ik ook gebruikt heb op mijn kerstkaart in mijn vorige post. De sterren komen van een kerstslinger.

I found the star somewhere in my stash. It is aluminium so I used some alcoholink (Piñata Color/Jacquard) to colour it and sprinkled some glitters in the ink.

Ik vond deze ster nog ergens. Het is van aluminium dus ik heb hem gekleurd met alcohol inkt (Piñata Color/Jacquard).

Snowman

I fell totally in love with this snowman when I saw him in the Store, he was on a scrapbookpaper and I cut him out of it. I think it was a Creamotion paper as are the dotted and striped paper.
The ribbon is from the market and the little tag is Cuttlebug.
Toen ik het papier met deze sneeuwman erop zag moest ik hem meenemen en uitknippen. Ik denk dat het papier van Creamotion is, net als het polkadot en gestreepte papier.
Het lint is van de markt en de kleine tag van Cuttlebug.

I think I like the back as well.
Ik vind de achterkant eigenlijk net zo mooi.

The stars are pieces of a very cheap christmasdecoration I bought.

De sterren zijn van een goedkope kerstslinger die ik bij de Zeeman heb gekocht.

Get Sketchy challenge # 15

Wow, time flies! It feels like I posted the last challenge yesterday!
This weeks bonuschallenge was paperpiecing and normally I always forget to include the bonuschallenge but this week I inserted it.
Jeetje, wat vliegt de tijd toch. Alsof ik de vorige challenge gisteren nog geplaatst heb.
Deze week is de bonuschallenge paperpiecing, wat volgens mij zoveel inhoud als een stuk papier op een ander stuk papier naaien.

I used the Ranger distress powder to emboss the texgt but somehow it got a little smouchy. It is difficult not to spill the powder allover and then it sticks to the paper. Now I got this pillowshaped little tool that must prevent this. Will try it next time.

Ik heb de letters met de distress poeder van Ranger ge-embossed maar ik heb wat poeder gemorst en als je het eenmaal verwarmt hebt blijft het op je papier zitten.

Ik heb nu een soort van kussentje waar je eerst je papier mee moet bewerken voordat je de poeder gaat strooien. Volgende keer maar eens proberen.

Christmas card with red buttons

It didn't turn out exactly quite as good as I wanted it to be but I think it is allright.
Het is niet helemaal zo mooi geworden als ik in gedachten had maar ach, het gaat wel.
Main goal was to use the christmas tree that I cut out from some chipboard and then painted with acrylic paint which I covered with glitter while it was still wet.
Ik wilde vooral de kerstboom gebruiken die ik uit karton had geknipt en met witte acryl verf heb bewerkt. Terwijl deze nog nat was heb ik er glitters overheen gestrooid.

When my mother was here last week she brought loads of buttons with which I was very happy. The red ones and this beautiful button on the tree are from this pile I got.
Toen mijn moeder hier vorige week was had ze voor mij een hele berg knopen meegenomen. Zowel de rode als deze prachtige knoop hierboven zijn daarvan.
Ik ben er echt superblij mee.

Get Sketchy challenge # 14

Nothing wrong with the sketch, nothing wrong with the digistamps (although you might know that stamps of puppets and animals are not my thing). Both are great but I just couldn't make it work. I am not happy with my card.
Niks mis met de sketch of met de digistamps (hoewel niet helemaal mijn ding) maar ik kreeg er gewoon niks van gemaakt. Ik ben niet tevreden met het resultaat.

Now go out there and show me how it is done! Get sketchy with it! I am sure you dan do better than me.

Misschien kunnen jullie me laten zien hoe het wel moet. Ga snel naar Get Sketchy!

This box here above became the box here below. The challenge at Dutch card lovers was to alter an item. Any item. so I altered this little box I initially wanted to throw away.
Het doosje hierboven heb ik omgetoverd tot het doosje hier beneden. Bij Dutch Card Lovers was altered item de challenge van deze keer.
Dus heb ik dit doosje gebruikt dat ik eigenlijk net wilde weggooien.

The box below I made I made saturday while being at the Croptime Store here.
Het doosje beneden heb ik afgelopen zaterdag al gemaakt in de Croptime winkel in mijn woonplaats.

Maybe you noticed that lately I use this selfmade flowers every time. I am just addicted to making them and everytime I want to make something without them my mind just keep wandering of to them and I start making one with the papers I am working with. Well, I supposse I'll grow over it.

Misschien heb je het al gemerkt dat ik bij alles wat ik maak de laatste tijd een zelfgemaakte bloem toevoeg. Ik ben helemaal verslaafd geraakt aan het maken van die bloemen. Ik probeer het echt wel zonder maar ik blijf tijdens het knutslen maar denken dat het niet helemaal af is zonder zo'n bloem. En hup, daar heb ik er weer in gemaakt.
Ach, het gaat vanzelf wel weer over.

Get Sketchy challenge # 13

Thirteen already! Not a bad number for me though. I got really inspired by the sketch and had my card finished in no time.
Uitdaging nummer 13 alweer! Voor mij geen ongeluksgetal. Ik kreeg echt inspiratie van de schets en was er heel snel klaar mee.

I went all the way again and did the inside too.
Ik heb me weer heerlijk laten gaan en de binnenkant ook gedaan.

I have been neglecting the scrapping and therefore this blog a little. With working in the office I find myself having so little spare time and not creating to much which I really miss!
Ik heb de laatste tijd niet zoveel gescrapd en had dus ook weinig om te laten zien op dit blog. Ik werk nog steeds op kantoor en heb 's avonds zo weinig tijd over om een beetje te hobby-en. Ik mis het echt!

Okya, something totally different now. Do you remember me decorating the tea light cups after seeing it at Inspirational Tips, Techniques and Tutorials?
Marjanne got inspired as well and decorated this cute box with this four tea lights in it. A perfect gift! She gave it her own touch by adding some beaded pins and raindrops. You really have to go over to her blog and check it out.
I love it when we inpsire eachother and all ad our own touch to the stuff we make.

Herinneren jullie de waxinelichtjes die ik maakte naar een idee van Inspirational Tips, Techniques and Tutorials nog?
Marjanne op haar beurt was er weer door geïnspireerd en maakte echt een supermooi doosje waarin ze deze vier waxinelichtjes deed. Echt een gaaf kadootje!
Ze heeft er haar eigen touch aan toegevoegd door er mooi gedecoreerde spelden in te steken en wat "regendruppels"
Je moet het geheel echt even op haar blog gaan bekijken.

Get Sketchy challenge # 12

The 12th sketch at Get Sketchy has been released. Here is my take on it.
De 12e schets van Get Sketchy staat op de site. Ik heb er dit van gemaakt.
I sent it to Riet. The doctors told her that her longues would propably not get any better then as they are now and that was hard to swallow for her.
Unbelievable that a woman that was always there on the net, commenting on so many blogs is not even able anymore to come online. How hard must that be for her?
Ik heb deze kaart naar Riet gestuurd. Zij kreeg van de dokters te horen dat haar longinhoud waarschijnlijk niet meer zal verbeteren en dat was een klap voor haar.
Ongelooflijk toch dat een vrouw, die zo aanwezig was op het web en zo vaak bij iedereen leuke berichtjes achterliet, nu niet eens meer in staat is online te komen. Dat moet verschrikkelijk voor haar zijn.

I really hope that she will recover, despite what the doctor told her.

Ik hoop echt dat ze, ondanks dat de dokter weinig hoop erop heeft, ze nog een beetje beter dan dit wordt.
