Card*a*licious 22

The essentials of this card are used by me before with the Ribbons from the market card but the cardboard in the middle is different.
I like the card myself that much that I wanted to do something like it again.

This time I wanted to enter the competition from Card*a*licious which I just found out about on the Papertrails by a paperlover blog.

You needed to use stars, flowers and some stitches and I think I succeeded in doing right that.

500 posts=Blog Candy

My regulars know I love Iralamija's blog. She inspires me.
Today she has a Blog Candy and although she has so much readers I am gonna give it a try and enter for it.
So here is the link to it:
500 posts=Blog Candy
Go and have a look girls!

And as I don't like a post without a photo I added this golden oldie. This was before I was inspired by others, as Iralamija, to make my cards more shabby but you can already see, I think, I like vintage.
I made this for a card for a friend who was coming home from Trinidad and Tobago. She still has the card standing in one of the cupboards in her living room. I think she likes it :-).

2 sketches 4 you, the second time

I love the 2 sketches 4 you challenges, the girls entering the challenge are so gifted. I often go and have a look at their results.
I only entered the challenge myself once. I didn't like my card that much. I found that by trying to meet the conditions the card has to answer to I somehow lost my own style in the proces.

But I wanted to enter the challenge again so badly that this time I gave it another go telling myself that I should keep my own style in mind.
This is what I made of Kazan's sketch 27

I just like my cards to look old and shabby and I wasn't going to be satisfied until my own style just jumped right off the card.

This time I am more satisfied than last time.

I am very curious what you think about it.

Boy

This card is full of market stuff. I bought the 3 ribbons I used on the saturday market here in my hometown.
The polkadot button, which I just love, I bought on a market in Groningen (big town in the North of Holland) where I happened to be for my work.
The paper is from Basic Grey and is called Oh Baby! Boy.

To spice up the inside a little and have the stitches and ribbon use like they were there on purpose I added the Boy stamp a few time in a line.
The stamp actually says Birthday Boy but I only inked the word Boy.
It is really summer weather outhere in Holland and I love the sun illuminating the card. The pics just turn out so much better.

ribbon from the market

I have this brown/beige ribbon for ages now. Bought it on the market and just loved it and have been waiting for an opportunity to use it.
When I was making this card last night I finally found a way to use it.
Some cuttlebug swirls and butterfly are used in it.
The pompons are also from the market.
This card started out with a piece of fabric I took with me from the store where I am gonna buy a new couch. The brown square in the middle is the fabric. I was just playing around with it a little bit and glued a swirl and a butterfly on it. A card was born :-).

B-day

This card is inspired by a card Iralamija made on mothers day. So I have been snagging :-). Hope she doesn't mind.
Iralamija is one of my favourites amongst the cardscrappers.
Her card (which was much prettier ofcourse) you'll find here.

Have a magical day

I started out making a green card with flowers and ended up with this card eventually.
