It has been some time

It has been some time since I made a card but I needed a get well card so I made one. Kind of worked out!

Het is weer even geleden sinds ik een kaart maakte maar ik had een beterschapkaart nodig en er dus zelf maar eentje gemaakt. Best wel ok geworden toch?

Ik heb een tijd geleden eens deze resin roosjes online gekocht bij een nederlandse webshop maar ik weet niet meer waar. Ik wil ze graag bijkopen. Weet iemand waar ik ze kan krijgen? Ik heb me al helemaal gek gezocht op het web.



I bought this resin roses sometime ago at a dutch webshop but can't remember where. I hope my dutch followers know where I can get them.

Ofcourse I sent Aletta 4 paperclips too. 3 with flowers in white/cream

En natuurlijk heb ik Aletta ook 4 paperclips gestuurd. 3 met bloemen in wit/créme.

And one with this button I made with leftover fabric and some lace.

En eentje met een knoop die ik heb gemaakt van een restje stof en wat kant.

Just for fun I added one more flower to be used for example on a card.

En voor de fun nog een bloemetje voor bijvoorbeeld op een kaart.

One more down, four to go

One more piece of my little cupboard filled. Four to go. Actually it is not a cupboard at all, it was a little tray with three little candlesa and some embellishments in it and I bought it for one euro. I bought two at the time but one of them I already made a project with. Maybe you remember.
The label is from the Graphics Fairy and I printed it on photopaper.

Nog een vakje van mijn kleine kastje gevuld. Nog eentje te gaan. Het is eigenlijk geen kasjte maar een heel klein soort van bakje waar drie kaarsjes en wat andere versiersels inzaten.
De andere heb ik al eens versierd. Misschien herinner je het nog.
Het etiketje heb ik uitgerpint op fotopapier en komt van de Graphics Fairy.

Free vintage images

I still had this paper bag lying around with all this vintage ads on it.
I got it from Tania with whom I swapped some time ago. She send me so many things that are simply gorgeous and are just waiting for the right time to come by for it to come in handy.
In my next post you will see the paper bag got cut in pieces and is used in a project of mine. A little cupboard I guess is what you call it.

Een tijd terug alweer heb ik met Tania uit de States geswapt, zomaar voor de gein. Ze stuurde me zoveel mooie dingen en die liggen hier allemaal te wachten tot ik er ineens een bestemming voor heb. Zo had ze me een papieren zak vol vintage advertenties gestuurd.
In mijn volgende post zal je zien wat ik er mee gedaan heb.

Voor ik in de zak ging knippen heb ik hem eerst gescand en ik deel de verschillende advertenties nu hier met jullie. Sommige heb ik van kleur veranderd om het een klein beetje "leesbaar" te maken.

Workshop Copic Markers bij Marianne van Scrappy Fingers

Don't you love it?

 Don't you just love this card? The paper, the charm, the lovely lady?

 And don't you love this postcards? I might scan and share them with you.

I love it too! And I was the lucky girl getting them from Pat. I did a swap with her and already recieved so much beautiful things but she mentioned something about forgetting to post a card. I got it today and she didn't only send this cards but also some sweet card making stuff.
Am I a lucky girl or what?

More spools

Much smaller than my last spool I made.

Veel kleiner dan de laatste spoel die ik maakte.

Om je een idee te geven hoe klein de spoeltjes zijn heb ik er een speld bijgezet.

The good news is that I can fill 5 more cubicles.

Het goede nieuws is dat ik nog 5 meer vakjes kan vullen.

Pin cushion

My first attempt of making a pincushion out of a jar. I am not sure what to think of it myself.  I think it is okay but that is all I can think of to say about it..

Mijn eerste poging om van een leeg potje een speldenkussen te maken. Weet niet helemaal wat ik er zelf van vind. Wel okay geloof ik maar niet meer dan dat.

Got this wonderful brad from Pat during a swap.

En met de laatste swap van de nederlandse swappers ontving ik onder ander deze prachtige brad van Pat.

Spool

 I recently discovered Lenets blog and right away I got hooked. I love what she makes!
She made a few spools in different sizes that are adorable!
Apparently making spools became a real hype and she is now having a challenge with a great sponsor! Maxines Melange.

Lenet got me inspired and last night I spent on making this spool. I don't know why but lately everything I make comes out looking victorian. It is not intentional but I think I kind of like it.

Btw is spool the right word to use in english? In dutch it is spoel. It feels like a just took the dutch word and give it an english sounding swing but I did look it up in the dictionary and think it must be ok.

Ik snap niet waarom het zo lang geduurd heeft maar pas heb ik het blog van Lenet ontdekt en ik moet jullie zeggen, het is een verslavend blog, wat maakt die meid mooie dingen.
Zoals een stelletje hele mooie spoeltjes in verschillende maten. Blijkbaar is spoeltjes maken een hype geworden en Lenet heeft een prijsvraag uitgeschreven met een hele coole sponsor. Maximes Melange.


Lenets werk inspireerde me en gisteren ben ik dan ook aan een spoeltje begonnen. Ik heb er zo'n beetje de hele avond over gedaan maar ik vind het resultaat best leuk geworden.
Geen idee hoe het komt maar de laatste tijd gaat mijn werk een beetje de victoriaanse kant op. Ik doe het niet eens opzettelijk.

The papers are from a paperblock. I only later found out I glued Napoleon on my spool. I guess I just didn't have a good look at this face uptil then.

Golden ornaments: Creamotion.

Het papier komt van een papierblok van de Action. Ik zag later pas dat ik Napoleon op de spoel had geplakt. Had hem denk nog niet eerder goed in zijn smoeltje gekeken. 

De gouden ornamentjes zijn van Creamotion.

Lavender bags

I got the old sewing machine out of the closet again and had a little fun making this lavender bags.

Mijn goede oude naaimachine maar weer eens van stal gehaald en een paar lavendelzakjes gemaakt.

Oh and Wow!

Oh and wow! was all that came out of my mouth while opening the package I got from Patricia from the dutch Valentine Swap. First of all this superbeautiful tag. All that was asked was send a matchbox and fill it with some goodies so you can imagine how surprised I was to see this beautiful piece.

Don't you love the heart charm on it?

Gisteren kwam er niet veel meer uit mijn mond dan oh en wow toen ik het pakketje van Patricia opende.  Deze tag is toch helemaal super! Hoefde ze niet eens te sturen, de vraag was versier een luciferdoosje en vul het met goodies.

 As you can see the box is all Oh and Wow too! And again embellished with this beautiful charms but I love everything about it.

En is dit doosje ook niet een en al OH  en WOW? Die bedeltjes vind ik zo mooi maar ik vind het doosje op zich gewoon helemaal mooi!

 And this beautiful brads, charms and buttons are too cute!

En ook de brads, bedeltjes en knopen vind ik zo schattig!

And on top of everything she also add this cute handkerchief. I think she added the lace herself although I am not sure but it surely is what makes it so beautiful!

En dan zat er ook nog eens een superlief zakdoekje met kant in. Ik weet het niet zeker maar denk dat ze het kant zelf hoeft aangenaaid en dat is toch wat het zakdoekje zo mooi maakt.

Paperclip Pimping

At the dutch swappers we are gonna swap paperclips. We made some examples and here are mine. I love the one above the most. It is the last one I made. Practice makes ........................ better (no one is perfect).

The ones underneath I consider a practice project.

Bij de Nederlandse Swappers gaan we paperclips met elkaar swappen. Marjanne host deze swap. We hebben wat voorbeeldjes gemaakt. Ga vooral even naar de site om die van Sandra en Marjanne te zien. Die zijn zo gaaf.

Van mijn eigen klipkes (zoals we ze ondertussen zijn gaan noemen) vind ik de bovenste het mooiste. Ik heb hem ook als laatste gemaakt dus degene hieronder zie ik maar als oefenproject.

 Marjanne uses hers at the office for the agenda. I think that is a great way to use it.

Marjanne gebruikt die van haar voor de agenda op kantoor. Leuke toepassing!

Nederlandse Swappers

Patricia recieved my swap yesterday so I can show it to you today! I went all pink and girly. Ofcourse the theme was Valentine! What else?

Patricia heeft haar swap van mij ontvangen en ik kan hem dus vandaag aan jullie laten zien. Veel rose en meisjesachtig. Het thema was uiteraard Valentijn!

And I added a tassel that I learned making at the blog of my fellow swapmusketeer Sandra.
En ik heb er een tassel aan gemaakt. Ik heb geleerd deze te maken op het blog van mijn medemusketier Sandra maar de tutorial staat ook op het blog van de nederlandse swappers.
