Cardpatterns sketch 34

Everyone seems to do the Cardpattterns sketches nowadays so I decided to have a look at this challenge blog and really liked the sketch.
This is what I made out of it.
It is not spectacular but quite ok, I think.

Let's get shabby, challenge 4

A new challenge at Let's Get Shabby, a sketch design this time.
I really like the Let's Get Shabby blog, the DT members are so gifted. I really love their work. It's my cup of tea.
Anyway, here is my take at the sketch. I once again made a card/booklet and the frontpage is according to the sketch.
This is the inside with a little tag in a pocket on which you can write your message.
The back:
I spend a great deal in bed today. After fighting against the flue for a week or maybe even more I finally give in and called in sick.
I just couldn't see myself on a plain to Turkey feeling the way I do. I think tonight I am gonna lay down on the couch and watch a movie.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

Get Sketchy challenge # 7

Get Sketchy's challenge 7 has been published and here is my take on the sketch:

We have the greatest sponsor again. Bree is so good at finding us the best sponsors.
This week she found MFT Stamps willing to be our sponsor. I love their stamps.
I used the cat's line as you can see but they have so many more great stamps!
Enjoy your saturday!

Another card

In this cards I used the same papers as the one I showed you yesterday but this one is much cuter, more lace and stuff.
The frontpage was supposed to be on the inside but I started punching holes without thinking before I did so.
No other solutions left than making the inside becoming the outside. But I kept it rather basic so I now had to add some alterations like the lace and pearls and roses.
I think it turned out okay.

The inside. The left handside page was supposed to be the front :-).

The back. Only when looking at the pics I found it is damaged a little bit already, so have to fix that first.

50

My brother in law turns 50 this Halloween. Luckily he doesn't read my weblog so I can show you the card I made him.
He is crazy about motorbikes. I am not sure or the one I used is a Harley like his bike but I hope he will still appreciate the card.
The inside

The back, a little less decorated than the other 3 pages.

Love u

Just a card I made last night. I brushed some Perfect Pearls on the letters with, what I thought was, invisible ink (Perfect Medium from Ranger) but it got al sticky.
Now you don't want a sticky card, do you? So I decided to seal it with Glossy Accents.
This morning I noticed some cracks in it but I don't care, I even like it, it looks very vintage this way.

I went to the grand opening of Hobbyworld Croptime in Hazerswoude Rijndijk this morning. Hudge two story high store!
If you are in the neigbourhood you should go and have a look.
I made this little box instead of flowers.

Riet

Yesterday I made a card for Riet. I think lots of you know Riet, she so faithfully comments on every card I and lots of other bloggers make.
But now Riet is very sick and in bed, not able to make any comments. Problems with her lungs and her MS.
Karin has been so sweet to send through all the cards we made for Riet and as we read on Karin's blog Riet was overwhelmed with joy when she received all this cards. Even a bit emotional.
That's why I decided to make a second one just for her.
If you want to sent one too you can send one to Karin. Isn't she great?
This world isn't so bad after all. People still do great things for one another.
You are wonderful Karin!
At the bottom of this blog you can find Karin's adress who will sent your card to Riet.
Get well soon Riet!

2 sketches 4 you, bonus sketch

Yesterday I suddenly knew. I was gonna make a card that is also something of a little book. I knew I had to use eyelets and small brown rope.
And I also had to use the beautiful vintagelike image of a rose I cut out the night before.
All of that going through my mind while working on a flight to Ibiza.
When I came home I just was to tired to start but I did find some pink and red ribbon to use and lay it down next to the picture of the rose.
I was considering using the green papers from Basic Grey I just bought (fruitcake double sided and bygone plaid).
If you are not a regular here you will propably wonder where the image of the rose is. Where did the brown small rope go to? The pink and the red ribbon?
You will only recognize the basic grey paper.
If you are a regular however you will know this is just how my mind works.
Nothing ever works out the way I planned it. My mind keeps wondering off to different places, colours and images and I just follow my mind to where ever it takes me.
This morning not completely awake, coffee in front of me, I started making my card and thought I had a look or the 2 sketches 4 you sketch would work but seeing it I knew immediately it wouldn't.
Until I saw the bonus sketch. I knew it had to be the bonus sketch.
All I had to do now was finish the other 3 pages and ready!
I superduper love it myself. What do you think?

DCL, sketch # 15

My take on DCL's sketch 15. Not as beautiful as I want it to be but time seems to fail me nowadays. You should think now that summer is on it's return I would have to work less but the opposite is true.
Work shouldn't get in the way with playing............................grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...............
